In this month’s Faculty Highlight, we had the opportunity to interview Dr. Inabinet, the principal of Vestavia Hills High School. Known for her strong leadership and dedication, Dr. Inabinet plays a key role in shaping the school’s character every day. Her journey to this role is just as inspiring as the work she does at VHHS.

Dr. Inabinet grew up in McRae, a small town in southeast Georgia. She attended Georgia Southern University, where she met her husband, Bill, and earned multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Middle Grades Education. She later completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Samford University, preparing her for a future in school leadership.

Before becoming principal, Dr. Inabinet worked in college admissions, spent over a decade teaching Social Studies and Science, and held several leadership roles, including principal positions at both Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park and Liberty Park Middle School. She eventually stepped into her current role as principal of VHHS, where she focuses on supporting students and teachers, implementing a new instructional model, and launching the Rebel Family Partnership to strengthen the school community.

Outside of school, Dr. Inabinet loves concerts, sporting events, traveling with her family, reading, and listening to podcasts. She and her husband have two children, Will and Riley, and two golden retrievers, Dabo and Marshall.

Dr. Inabinet's story reflects her passion for education and her commitment to making Vestavia Hills High School a place where everyone can thrive.
