Fall Charity 2026!
VHHS’s annual Fall Charity Kickoff took place on September 15th, and we are partnering with The Prescott House! To start the kickoff, a few members of the SGA team were able to introduce and present this year's fundraiser. The SGA also announced this year’s homecoming king nominations for each grade and the band. The homecoming kings were introduced and participated in an exciting game where they were judges for our very own Dancing with the Stars contest starring our teachers. They performed dances as Woody and Bo Peep and characters from Aladdin, and the whole school was able to enjoy it.
In addition, we also got to hear from Bailey Harper, the Development Manager of the Prescott House, who informed and educated us about her organization. The Prescott House is Jefferson Country’s child advocacy center, providing forensic interviews when child abuse allegations happen. The Prescott House hopes to use our school’s fundraiser to expand their counseling services and family advocacy programs. A video that was displayed gave more information on what The Prescott House does and all the amazing things that pour into this child advocacy center. The Prescott House is the perfect fit for this year’s fall charity.
Fall Charity is always such an amazing event and time during the school year as we all get to make a difference. Through supporting the homecoming king nominations, homecoming floats, the talent show, the faculty-student basketball game, Powderpuff, and the actual Homecoming dance, there are so many ways we can all get involved and contribute to the Prescott House! This time of year is always filled with the best activities, events, and so much school spirit. We can all get involved and contribute to helping and supporting The Prescott House Child Advocacy Center and its goals!
