Letter From The Editor 10/13

Hi everyone! Since you're reading this, thank you so much for reading. Whether you're a student, teacher, parent, pet, or alien from the future, I appreciate each and every one of you who make Pillar worth it.

This drop marks the beginning and end of many important moments: the end of the 1st 9 weeks and the beginning of the 2nd 9 weeks, the unfortunate end of our Fall break, and much, much more. As we transition into an often academic-heavy section of the school year, I encourage you to stay focused on your goals (and maybe even your New Year's resolutions if you're still getting at those).

For seniors, hopefully, we can push through this college admission season (kudos to those who've already finished!) and relax a bit during the second semester. Senioritis has been scientifically linked with lower grades, higher risks of mental health conditions, and even discipline issues. Don't let it get to you!

For everyone else, don't forget that high school is a time meant for you to enjoy. Although this doesn't necessarily mean playing video games all day, enjoy the process and make sure to seize as many opportunities as you can, so you won't regrette rien before the New Year comes (time will fly!).

For now, stay tuned for what Pillar has to come! Maybe you'll be able to hold it in your hand one day...
